Wishing the Jewish community of Red Deer-North a very Happy Chanukah!
On Sunday, Dec. 18, the eight-day Jewish “Festival of Lights” will begin, lasting until the evening of Monday, Dec. 26.
Every year, Jewish people all over the world will gather with their families to light the menorah each night, sing, eat potato latkes and exchange gifts – all in celebration of the oil that lasted for eight days in the temple.
The Festival of Lights reminds us anyone can light up the world with good deeds and make it a brighter, hopeful, and more righteous place.
